When it comes to the art of capturing portraits, my philosophy is to collaborate closely with the individual I’m photographing. I am aware of many photographers who prefer not to solicit or consider the input of their clients, which I find to be an ineffective and misguided approach. In order to achieve the absolute best photos possible, it is crucial for both the model and the photographer to contribute their ideas and share their unique perspectives during the shoot. When this collaborative effort takes place, both parties typically discover that the resulting photos become significantly more meaningful and special.
